Catherine Le Clef
Fortissimo Films has appointed Catherine Le Clef as senior vice president, TV and ancillary sales.  Le Clef joins Fortissimo from Paris based Doc & Co, an international distributor of documentaries. In this capacity, she oversaw international distribution of "The Staircase" by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade; "Salvador Allende" by Patricio Guzman; "The Mother's House" by Francois Vester; and "Hothouse" by Shimon Dotan. Prior to this, she was with Film Transit International in Canada where she worked for 15 years.

Frans Lefever
Frans Lefever was born in Belgium, Poperinge (1946) and lives now in the centre of Brussels. He studied languages and philosophy at the Catholic University of Leuven. Since 1971 he works at the VRT (Flemish Radio and Television), first as a cultural journalist at Radio 1, and since 1978 as a programme buyer for Flemish Television VRT. In that function he was responsible for the acquisition of foreign productions, e.g. feature films, documentaries, short films and co-productions. He recently retired but he is still active as an independent consultant.

Elke Lambrechts
Elke Lambrechts (°1982) studied Ho2c Audiovisual art – Documentary at the Department Rits, Brussels, Belgium.
In 2004 she was Interim Researcher for the Dirk Vandersypen Award and in 2004, 2005 & 2006 she worked as Reporter for ‘Man Bijt Hond’: ‘Wordt Gevolgd’ (Production house: Woestijnvis, Zaventem, Belgium)
In the summer of 2005 she was volunteering in Huancayo-Peru, with Mosoq Ayllu. She was a teaching assistant and animator in orphanages and poor communities. Currently she is studying Conflict and Development at the University of Ghent.

Marc Van Glabbeek
Marc Van Glabbeek (°1948, Antwerp) has a degree in Germanic Languages ( KUL , 1970). He used to teach Dutch in Belgium and he was studying in Mexico (1978/1979). From 1980 on, he has been working at the VRT as a journalist in the Radio News Department. Since 1993, he focuses on Latin America. For his job, he traveled to almost all countries in Latin America and he made numerable radio reportages for Radio 1 and Radio 3.

Tom Bleyaert
Tom Bleyaert (°1975, Bruges) has a degree in Political and Social Sciences (RUG) and in Communication Sciences. He started his carrier at the Social Security Service. Since 2000 he has been working for VRT television, First of all at the Sports Department, and since 2001 he is responsible for the acquisition of foreign documentaries at Canvas.

Leo De Bock
Leo De Bock (°1959) is chairman of the Dirk Vandersypen Award jury. For
years he was a documentary filmmaker and jury member at numerous festivals.
Before moving to the news department of VRT, he was channel manager of
Canvas and Ketnet, the second television channel of VRT. Presently he is an independent tv producer and media consultant.

Claire Colart
Claire Colart (°1946) was an assistant for the Radio News Department RTB from 1965 to 1972. She then worked as a script-girl for the Television News from 1972 to 1974, later on she wrote scripts for the Jouth Department until 1979. Until 1982 she was an assistant to the director of a cultural magazine for Television: "Point de mire" and she worked at the Historical Department for "Ordre nouveau" by Maurice Dewilde.
From 1984 until 1996, she was an assistant for the Documentary Department. Since 1996, she is a producer, responsible for the acquisition and the programmation of all documentaries at RTBF.

Anna Van der Wee
Anna Van der Wee, with degrees in Criminology and Political and Social Sciences at Leuven University, started her career at Leuven University in the department of Criminology. After serving as an attaché to the Minister of Social Affairs and Culture of the Brussels Region, Van der Wee became a journalist. She reported on social and cultural issues for various magazines around the world such as Playboy, Humo, Intermediair and New Art in Europe.
Her books include Growing in Life Time and a self-help manual on ageing.
Van der Wee now heads Wild Heart Productions in Brussels, Belgium, an audiovisual production company she founded in 1994 in Montreal, Canada.
She is an accomplished multi-award winning director and producer. Her documentaries include 'The dead are Alive. Rwanda, an eyewitness account.' 'Power of the North', 'Seeing is Believing', The man who wanted to classify the world'.
Between 1997-2001 Van der Wee was the Series Editor for a monthly 30-minute television magazine that Wild Heart Productions produced together with UK-based Worldwide Pictures for the European Commission. The magazine series was distributed to broadcasters in 170 countries.
