From the end of the Seventies, Dirk worked for the printed press. He published many articles in Belgian newspapers and magazines, such as De Morgen, Spectator, de Nieuwe, Knack and Humo.
He also wrote two books:
Nicaragua, the bankruptcy of Somoza Inc. (1979)
and
Mañana, twenty-five years of roaming through Latin America (1999).
They can only be found in a Dutch version.
